Homeland Security Scholars and Fellows Program

OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY’S

HOMELAND SECURITY SCHOLARS AND FELLOWS PROGRAM (HSSFP)

Through a targeted and integrated training program for future leaders in homeland security, an experienced, multidisciplinary faculty team at OSU along with external partners addresses the Department of Homeland Security’s need for a steady flow of researchers and practitioners for the future.

The Homeland Security Scholars and Fellows Program (HSSFP) combines established expertise, coursework and resources with new program elements such as internships, a seminar series, a capstone course in homeland security and security clearances for three graduate and four undergraduate students. OSU provides laboratory, classroom, internship and field experiences, as well as intensive training in Homeland Security - Science Technology Engineering Math (HS-STEM) disciplines for our HSSFP fellows and scholars

Graduates from the program will be able to bridge the gap between technical expertise in the physical and biological sciences, and the social science and manage expertise critical to human issues of prevention, response and recovery management.
