Proposal Writing Workshop
Write Winning Grant Proposals Workshop
Tuesday, September 27, 2022
8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
ConocoPhillips Alumni Center - Jones Seminar Room
Sponsored by the Division of the Vice President for Research
Presented by John D. Robertson, Ph.D.
Grant Writers’ Seminars & Workshops was founded by academicians, for academicians to help researchers obtain formal training in how to support their work with grant proposal writing. OSU has sponsored this presentation annually for more than 20 years for the benefit of its research faculty.
This seminar will be presented in-person this year. Attending the full day is critical for maximal understanding and future usage of the directed writing approach.
Emphasis is placed on doing the “extra” things that can make the difference between being funded versus not. Regardless of the target agency, participants are taught to write with a linear progression of logic, which leads reviewers through an application without them knowing that they are being led.
Although the seminar will focus on proposal writing for several federal agencies, the content will be relevant and usable for individuals applying to all funding entities (e.g., private foundations, professional organizations, and state/other federal agencies).
All participants receive an extensive handout, as well as a copy of The Grant Application Writer’s Workbook.
The workshop is intended for early career faculty and post-docs; however, any faculty member may attend. Graduate students will not be permitted to register. Advanced registration is required.
