Ugly Bug Contest

The OSU Microscopy Laboratory has been heavily involved in the Oklahoma Microscopy Society's Ugly Bug Contest since it began in 1997.  OSU Microscopy lab staff participate every year by preparing then imaging the insects in our scanning electron microscope. Along with representatives of OSU Center for Health Sciences, the University of Oklahoma, and Phillips 66, we deliver the microscopes to winning schools. Pictured is Director Emeritus, Dr. Charlotte Ownby delivering microscopes to Mustang Creek Elementary School.
