Transfer of select agents and/or toxins is a highly centralized and controlled process. The process in place at OSU has been approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as part of the institution’s registration to conduct activities involving select agents and toxins. The Office of University Research Compliance is responsible for managing this process. Contact our office for information on transfer or receipt of select agents and/or toxins. Consult the select agents section of this website for more guidance.
The federal government has specific requirements that must be met before approval is granted to individuals who wish to work with select agents or toxins. Individuals should consult the section of this website pertaining to select agents.
