Conflict of Interest


Oklahoma State University promotes objectivity in research by committing to disclose, appropriately review, and robustly manage identified conflicts of interest. OSU policy 4-0130 (updated December 2020) outlines investigator responsibilities for disclosure and training, and provides a framework for central disclosure reviews and management. All administrators, faculty, staff, post-doctoral fellows and students who apply for, receive or serve as key personnel on a sponsored program must submit a disclosure questionnaire via the COI-Smart system before proposal submission at least annually during the period of award. Updates to Disclosures must be submitted within 30 days of discovering or acquiring a new financial interest.

(This training is required of ALL investigators on proposals and awards with the Public Health Service, including the National Institutes of Health)
